§ 01 / 02 · THE SAMPLE READ
If the follow-up is fine, the read says so.

Read it the way you’d receive it.

One document, three moves: what the public site already shows, where that suggests revenue may be leaking, and the one leak worth testing first — with the reasoning attached.

Revenue Leak Read — Willow Lane Aesthetics

Prepared by Aureon Systems · sample edition · public information only — and here, the “public information” is invented too. No real business, no real people, no client data.

01 · Snapshot

BusinessWillow Lane Aesthetics — fictional, built for this sample
VerticalMed spa · aesthetics
LocationDeliberately unspecified — no address, phone, or socials exist
Visible buyer pathConsult form · online booking for select services · phone during staffed hours
Service categoriesInjectables · skin treatments · laser · a membership program

02 · Demand you’re already creating

Everything below reads from the public surface alone — the same way a customer meets the business. Verified means you could click the page and see it. Assumed means only the owner can answer.

LabelObservation — public surface only
VerifiedThe consult form promises a reply “within 24 hours.” The promise is printed on the form itself — public, specific, checkable.Seen — consult page · form microcopy
VerifiedThe form accepts requests at any hour; the contact page lists staffed hours only. No after-hours path is stated anywhere on the public surface.Seen — contact page · staffed-hours block
VerifiedOnline booking exists for skin treatments and laser, but injectable consults route through the form and a phone call — a separate, slower path for the highest-intent request.Seen — services + booking pages
VerifiedA membership is sold on the services page. Nothing public describes what happens at renewal — no reminder promise, no lapse path.Seen — services page · membership panel
AssumedWhen a consult no-shows, does anyone own the rebooking? Nothing public says so either way — a question for the owner, not a finding.Waiting on — the owner’s answer
AssumedIs the review ask a step in the visit, or left to chance? The pattern can’t be read from outside — only the owner can say.Waiting on — the owner’s answer

03 · Where revenue may be leaking

The reply promise nobody staffs after close. A public “within 24 hours” promise, a form that never sleeps, and hours that do. If evening and weekend inquiries wait for the next staffed morning, the promise breaks exactly where the highest-intent requests arrive.

The no-show that stays gone. A booked consult is the most expensive thing on this site to lose. Nothing public shows a rebooking path after a miss — if there isn’t one, demand that was already paid for is being released.

The membership that renews in silence. A membership is sold publicly with no visible renewal moment. If renewals lapse without a conversation, the leak sits in the one part of revenue that’s supposed to be recurring.

04 · Recommended first leak lane

First leak lane
Missed inquiry follow-up — Lane 01: first-reply lag and the after-hours dead zone.
Why this lane (evidence-ranked)
It’s the only lane with verified evidence on both sides: a public reply promise, and no stated path for the hours when the form still accepts requests. Everything else on this read still waits on the owner’s answers.
What we would draft
A reply for every consult inquiry, including the ones that arrive after close — captured that night, drafted and queued for approval the next morning.
Who approves every message
You. Approve, edit, or hold — every decision logged.
What proof we track
Time from inquiry to first human reply, measured from the business’s own inbox — before the sprint and during it. Measured, not projected.
Explicitly out of scope
Everything else in part 03. New leaks join a ranked backlog, not the sprint.

05 · If you act on it — the 14-day shape

  1. Day 0baseline + scope lock
  2. Day 1leak map + first approval queue
  3. Days 2–10owner-approved follow-up cycles
  4. Day 7interim proof check
  5. Day 14proof memo + continue / stop recommendation

In a real read, every number is measured — which is why this sample doesn’t invent any.

This sample identifies possibilities, not verified losses — a real read separates what can be seen from what only your numbers can confirm. Willow Lane Aesthetics is invented; no client data appears anywhere in this document, and nothing client-facing ever sends without the owner’s approval.

§ 02 / 02 · THE ANNOTATIONS

Why the read is shaped this way.

Why one leak, not twelve

The audit checks twelve leaks; the recommendation names one. A single lane with evidence behind it gets tested — the rest go into a ranked backlog, not a longer invoice. A list of twelve fixes is a way to start none of them.

Why every fact is labeled

Verified means you can open the public page and see it yourself. Assumed means only your numbers can answer — so it’s written as a question and waits for you. A read that blurs the two isn’t a read; it’s a pitch.

Why the plan works without us

The 14-day shape is written so an owner could run it alone — some do. If the plan only worked with us attached, it wouldn’t be a plan; it would be a proposal wearing one.
